Winston Minus The Notebook

Recently, I made a decision. No internet, no Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, or Mark Levin radio shows. I wanted to know what it would be like to live under Chairman Obama's Chavez-like media manipulations, such as Net Neutrality and the Fairness Doctrine. After all, like the old saying goes, you can't write about what you haven't experienced, right ?

Ok...Ok...turn off your BS detector. My laptop is in the shop. (I'm fairly certain my new and interesting friends at gaynewservice.com and GLSEN were all sending each other secular messages of joy knowing I was down for a while.)

However, everything I've written in the above paragraph is true. I can't listen to AM radio in my apartment because the reception sucks. As for the internet, well, if I don't have a computer, it's fairly impossible to access the web. (No, I'm not going to the library to shove someone off of a computer who's looking for a job.) In any event, the moment my computer went down, I felt like I was Winston Smith and someone stole my notebook. I was helpless. No access to free information. I was at the mercy of others and their view of events, and more importantly, I was unable to give my view on the day's events.

In other words, I was living the life that Obama Hood and his Merry Band of Socialists has in store for all of us.

Make no mistake about it: The Obama Plan for the media would do just that. It would silence the millions of voices like mine who are screaming "WTF are you doing ?" at the top of our lungs. Net Neutrality would mold the internet into an Obama lovefest and the Fairness Doctrine would effectively kill talk radio. First Amendment, you say ? How cute and naive. Remember when Chairman Obama had a hissy fit about how the Supreme Court struck down the unconstitutional parts of Campaign Finance Reform ? (You know, the hissy fit he had at the State of Confusion Address when he called out the Supreme Court and had his Progressivevik allies hooting and hollering like they were on their way to an Ann Coulter book burning.) That little episode showed how little regard our Dear Leader has for Free Speech, as did his remarks about the Tea Party. Oh, I'd be remiss in my duties if I failed to mention how the Failed Messiah appointed Mark Lloyd to head the FCC's "diversity" department. You remember Mr, Lloyd, don't you ? Gosh, his praise for the way Hugo Chavez handles the media down in Venezuela just sends thills up my leg.

Folks, if thers's only one thing that worries you about Chairman Obama's agenda, this should top of the list. Free Speech is a gift, not from the Founders, but from God Himself. It is the most precious thing He has ever given to a nation. It is a gift that we should never, ever, let anyone take away from us.

God help us all.
