Who Are They Trying To Kid ?

Recently, the annoying Geico voice over guy, DC Douglas, had this to say about FreedomWorks and the Tea Parties in a cowardly voicemail:

Hi there. I`m doing a paper about FreedomWorks and I was wondering if somebody could give me a call back. I`m wrapping up and I just have one more piece of information I need to get from you guys -- just need to know what the percentage is of people that are mentally retarded who work for the organization, and are members of it. And oh -- and one final thing, wondering what your plans are, how to spin it when one of your members does actually kill somebody, wondering how, if you`ve got an actual P.R. spinning routine planned for that or are you just going to take it when it happens. Just curious. So, give me a call when you get a chance. Thanks so much.

And, Arkansas' Walking Hormone, Bill Clinton, had this to say about the "potential violence" of the Tea Party:

There can be real consequences when what you say animates people who do things you would never do.

How can we forget Nancy Pelosi's alligator tears when she dropped this gem:

I have concerns about some of the language being used [by town hall protesters during last year's Obamacareless debate] because I saw this myself [political violence] in the late 70's in San Francisco.

Now of course it be rude to Speaker of The Shack of Representatives to remind her Lordship that the crimes she is referring to, the murder of Mayor George Moscone and City Manager and gay rights activist Harvey Milk, was actually perpetrated by a Democrat, Dan White. Oops! I just did! Man, I need to hire an editor!

Of course we musn't forget what Janet From Another Planet Napolitano wrote in a "superduper secret memorandum" to law enforcement about "Rightwing Extremism":

Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

All of that nonsense leaves me asking one vital question: What violence are they rambling about ? What extremism ? Just what in the hell are these dingbats talking about ?

If the Tea Party is guilty of anything, it would be the occaisonal misspelled sign or very dumb signs like "Keep the government out of my Medicare". None of these people are even remotely capable of violence. Down here in South Florida, the only time Tea Partiers would engage in violence if they missed the early bird special at the Rascal House. We're not talking about fountains of youth here. (Just kidding, Ms. Maddcow. Just kidding. Please don't make another lame documentary. Please for the love of God, don't!)

If anything, the reason why the Progressivevik left is pulling crap like this is: they've lost the debate and they know it. They know Chairman Obama is a dud, the American people are as po'ed as humanly possible, and they need a scapegoat to salvage what they can from the November Whuppin' that is on its way. Now, don't get me wrong, the folks aren't going to all of a sudden forget the Bush Error anytime soon and start getting elephant tattoos, but the bottom line is the usual Republican incompetence is a whole heap better than Socialist incompetence. This is apparently their way of raising a white flag while saving face.

We're on their tails, folks. They're retreating, not reloading. (Zing!)

Still, in the face of this stupidity, I must say:

God help us all.
