Thank You !?

At a Miami fundraiser on Tax Day, our clueless Dear Leader remarked how he was "amused" by the Tea Party protests and said "You would think they should be saying thank you."

No, you read that right. We should be thanking him.

WHAT AN ELITIST JERK!

THAT'S RIGHT, RACHEL MADDCOW! I CALLED HIM A JERK! DID YOU HEAR THAT CHRISSY MATTHEWS ? I CALLED HIM A JERK! HOW ABOUT YOU, OLBERMANN ? PUT DOWN THE BASEBALL CARDS FOR A SECOND, I JUST CALLED YOUR TIN POT DICTATOR OF A MESSIAH, A JERK!

Now, let's really examine how dangerous of a statement that actually is. We have the President of the United States demanding tribute from his subjects. We just got a glimpse of what an ego maniac this guy truly is. This man thinks we should thank him for what damage he's done to our country. We should thank him for letting us supposedly keep our own money ? What's next, pageants for the Wise Leader ? Children singing hosannas to his benevolent nature ? (Oops. We already had that. My mistake.) Does this man think he's our ruler ?

Here's a news flash for you, Chairman Obama. We are Americans. Unlike you, we don't bow to anyone. Regardless of what you think, you work for us, not the other way around. We owe you no allegience. You are not a fuhrer, a Caesar, or anything remotely approaching that. Yes, you are the President of The United States. No one can dispute that, nor should they. Keep in mind, however, we as American citizens gave you your power and we, the American citizens, have every right to take it away from you in your next election. We are not bound to you for life. (And judging by the polls, you'd best keep that in mind.)

You know it's funny, despite all the accusations of George W. Bush being a dictator, I never heard anything even remotely as arrogant as this. As much as Bill Clinton annoyed me, I never heard anything like that. Quite frankly, as much as I strain my recollection, I can't think of one President, even Woodrow the Horrible, saying anything remotely this arrogant and unseemly. No, I'm not being partisan here. I really can't think of any statement this insulting to citizens of the United States.

Instead of attending $35,000 fundraisers, (Apparently, you have all kinds of free time on your hands despite two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, undeclared shadow wars all over the globe, 9.7% unemployment, an economy that makes Sierra Leone look like an economic juggernaut, and I almost forgot, an unconstitutional occupation of Haiti.) Chairman Obama, maybe you should try talking to the Tea Party movement instead of talking down to them. Regardless of what you think of yourself, you don't have all the answers. With this latest show of arrogance, I honestly don't think you even know what the question is. The most important thing any leader should do everyday is listen. I promise, your Lordship, the Tea Party folks won't bite. (That's something your drones do when angry or confused.) I can assure you if you had a three hour Town Hall with these folks, you'd learn quite a bit. They'll tell you plenty of things your toadies David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett won't or can't tell you. You'd find that these folks aren't opposing your misguided and reckless policies out of spite or because they're racists. They're patriots standing up to the tyranny of government, just like the Founders, or Dr. Martin Luther King. That's not a bad thing. That's a very healthy, American view of government and its role in our lives.

Another thing you'd discover, Chairman Obama, is that Americans are a very forgiving bunch. So what if we've gotten off to such a rough start ? You can still change course and fix things, and you know what, we'll all love you for it. (See Bill Clinton for further details.) If you take a moment to actually listen to us and act accordingly, you'd have the entire electorate eating out of your hand. The Tea Party exists as a reaction to YOUR policies. Not George W. Bush's. Not Bill Clinton's. Not Old Man Bush's. Not Reagan's. YOURS. It is you who has created the Tea Parties, not Rick Santelly.

What's it going to be, Chairman Obama ? Arrogance or governance ?

I have a funny feeling I already know the answer, so God help us all.
