"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."--Albert Einstein
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who can argue with that ? Who in their right mind, with a fully functioning cerebral cortex and no discernible head trauma can argue with that ?
Your modern tattooed, wallet chain wearing, unemployed, Media Matters believing, Obama Progressivevik drone.
Since the beginning of the Progressivevik Error, the United States political scene has been the definition of insanity. For decades, we've had an endless cyle of Progressivevik failue and Conservative reform that led to a golden era in American hisrory. If you'll notice:
--The ugliness of Woodrow Wilson's war socialism, "three minute men" propaganda spewers, and the direct attack on the First Amendment was replaced by the economic good times of the Roaring Twenties, which were spurred on by the slashing of government and taxes by Conservative Presidents Warren G. Harding and Calvin Coolidge.
--The absolute horrors that were the regimes of Franklin Dictator Roosevelt and Harry I Wish It Weren't Truman were replaced by the good times that were the late Fifties. On the watch of Franklin Dictator Roosevelt, we had a recession turn into the Great Depression and a little engagement you may have heard of called World War II. After Franklin Dictator Roosevelt retired to his grave, his henchman Truman sat back and watched as the Soviet Union replaced Nazi Germany as Europe's conquerer. This emboldened communists the world over, especially in the vacation spots known as Korea and Vietnam. During the administration of Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower, we had sock hops, luncheonette counters, the hula hoop, and the '57 Chevy that did not require the President of the United States to beg citizens to buy. Most importantly, the good times of the late 50's laid the foundations of the Civil Rights Movement of Dr. Martin Luther King. (I say this not to be politically correct, I honestly believe this, as do the majority of Americans.)
--After the assassination of JFK, the United States had uninterrupted Progressivevik rule through the Carter Accident. LBJ brought us the socialism of welfare and Medicaid, and the escalation of the Vietnam War. Trickie Dickie tried to nationalize healthcare along with a certain Massachusetts Senator who should have died in prison for murder. (No, Nixon was not a Conservative.) Ford bored the nation into voting for the anti-Semite peanut farmer Jimmy Carter, who proceeded to give America a Department of Energy that produces no energy and a Department of Education that has yet to educate a single child. Many feared the Carter Accident was the final nail in America's coffin, until Ronald Reagan came along and destroyed the Soviet Empire without firing a single shot and made America fabulously wealthy at the same time.
We could go on and on, with Newt Gingrich's Conservative uprising that that led to welfare reform and the totally rad Nineties that Bill Clinton helped usher in against his will or the rebirth of the state of New Jersey under Chris Christie. It would be an insane act if I tried to list them all.
The point is this, America. No matter how the Progressiveviks package it, whether they call it the New Deal, The Great Society, Hope and Change, or 2+2=5, it's all the same crap that leads to disaster. Why keep perpetuating the same vicious cycle ? Are we insane as Albert Einstein would define it ?
God help us all if we are.
