Not So Fast, Urkel!

On Friday night, as Chairman Obama celebrated Ramadan, he spoke eloquently about how, in the name of religious freedom, the Cordoba Initiative should be allowed to be build the 9/11 Mosquerade. On Saturday, after a possible profanity laced tirade by Rahm Emmanuel or a tearful plea from David Axelrod, Obama backpedaled faster than Deion Sanders covering Jerry Rice.

Not so fast, Urkel. We The People demand answers.

This is not just your ordinary Presidential oopsie. This isn't Hillary's Less Than Faithful Husband pleading his innocence in the question of whether or not he touched the chubby intern. This isn't Tricky Dickie proclaiming that he's squeaky clean in the Watergate mess, and this isn't Bush foolishly standing in front of a banner that says "Mission Accomplished" with thousands of troops still risking their lives trying to "win hearts and minds". This is different.

No, Benjamin Jealous, it's not because Chairman Obama is black. Kindly remove your protesters from my lawn.

This all about Chairman Obama's character. Now, we all have skeletons in our closets. Our Dear Leader, however has a cemetery full of them in his closet that come to life every full moon. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't our Failed Messiah:

--say that America is one of the great Muslim nations on the planet ?

--spend part of his youth in Indonesia, attending Muslim religious schools ?

--hang out with Rashid Khalidi, a Palestinian terror apologist ?

--ban the use of the words "Islamic terrorist" by his administration ?

--instruct his NASA chief to make Muslims feel good about their contributions toward science ?

--instruct Hitlery Clinton to hand $500 million smackers to help rebuild Gaza, knowing full well the money would end up in Hamas' greedy paws ?

--give a speech at West Point to the cadets that might be shipping out to Afghanistan that lacked the word "victory" ?

--blurt out some weird shout-outs before his speech on the Fort Hood terror attack ?

--hang with Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn of the Palestinian Flotilla fame ?

Of, course we can go on and on and on and on.........

The bottom line is this: We can't trust Chairman Obama's motives. Whether it's the stunning revelations of communists in the White House like Anita Dunn, Ron Bloom, Van Jones, and Carol Browner, appointing a weirdo like Andy Stern to the Deficit Reduction Committee, or standing with Mexico's President as he rips into Congress over the Arizona Immigration Law, or making a speeches abroad that criticize America, something seemed off. Chairman Obama was always the milk you were never quite sure about.

Until now. Now the milk is spoiled. Chairman Obama has succeeded in completely alienating the country with his support of the 9/11 Mosquerade.

If Chairman Obama gave a crap about this country and its morale, he would have stood up at that Ramadan dinner and said, "Let me be perfectly clear. You may have the right to build the Cordoba project, but that doesn't make it right. We must remember that our rights end at the point where they interfere with someone else's. This project interferes with the rights of New Yorkers not to be offended. In the name of the unity I have pledged to bring to our country, I respectfully ask that the project be moved elsewhere." Even if he didn't mean it 100%, it would have meant something to all of us proles.

God help us all.

We All Saw This Coming, Didn't We ?

From The Hill.com:

President Obama said at a dinner celebrating the Islamic holy month that he supports the controversial mosque project near the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York.
"Now, we must all recognize and respect the sensitivities surrounding the development of Lower Manhattan," Obama said at Friday's iftar meal breaking the day's fast for Ramadan. 'The 9/11 attacks were a deeply traumatic event for our country. And the pain and the experience of suffering by those who lost loved ones is just unimaginable. So I understand the emotions that this issue engenders. And Ground Zero is, indeed, hallowed ground."
"But let me be clear," Obama continued. "As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country. And that includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in Lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances. This is America."

Yes, you read that right. While breaking the Ramadan fast, Chairman Obama defended building a mosque at Ground Zero.

Now, I'm not going to get in the whole "Is-It-Constitutional" hubballoo over the 9/11 mosque. A careful reading of the First Amendment shows that the city and state of New York both do indeed have the power to shut this whole thing down. (Check out my blog Constitutional, You Say ? for further details on that.) This rant is about our Dear Leader's tone deafness.

We have a sitting President of The United States sitting at an iftar dinner defending the right to build a mosque at the site of the worst act of Islamic terror in world history.

We have a sitting President of The United States who has sent thousands of young Americans to war in Afghanistan defending the right of their enemies to have a place to gloat.

We have a sitting President of The United States once again giving the middle finger to We The People.

I think at this point, Chairman Obama hates us all. No, really. That's the only possible explanation I can possibly come up with. This is a man so full of hatred towards this country and its citizens that he'll do anything to humiliate it. Sure, we had the bowing to King Abdullah and the Emperor of Japan, the European Apology Tour, joining Hugo Chavez's book club, and the Cairo Surrender Speech, but this is different. This goes beyond the usual Progressivevik "Citizen of The World" crap on a stick. This is a slap in the face of America.
Chairman Obama's endorsement of building this house of hatred so close to Ground Zero is like Woodrow Wilson attending the Kaiser's retirement party. It's like Franklin Dictator Roosevelt attending a Hitler Youth rally. It's like Truman being a guest lecturer at a North Korean reeducation camp, or Ronald Reagan marching in a May Day rally. (Yes, I know, Glenn. Woodrow Wilson would have jumped at the chance to hang with Der Kaiser. The example is for illustration purposes only. Go play Six Degrees of Chairman Obama until I finish.) That's how insulting this is.

If Chairman Obama gave a damn how the majority of Americans felt on this matter, he could have at least lied. After all, NYC's worthless Mayor, Michael Bloomberg had given thumbs up to the project, and the even more worthless governor of New York David Paterson did nothing but attempt to appease. Those two factors alone green lighted the mosque. Obama could have given a half hearted speech denouncing the whole mess and look like a hero.

Yet, he refused. It was as if he were saying, "You people have rejected me one too many times. Time for a little payback."

Of course, I don't have proof of this. I can't read minds. I can only interpret actions. Obama's actions clearly states he hates America and our way of life. To that, I say--

God help us all.

Constitutional, You Say ?

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

For those of you who were educationally abused in our public school system, the above is the First Amendment. It may very well be the most important sentence ever written in the English language, since it's the backbone of American society. It guarantees the rest of the Constitution. No other part of the Bill of Rights has ever generated the debates the First Amendment has, despite being crystal clear.

What the uninformed do not understand about the First Amendment is that it is a negative right. It does not guarantee what you can do, it only guarantees what can't be done to you by the Big Mommy Regime. Now this may be news to the 2+2=5 Progressivevik crowd and to idiots like Pete Stark (Commie-CA), but there are limits to what Big Mommy is allowed to do.

However, there is plenty states can do, like, oh, I don't know, forbidding mosques being built at Ground Zero.

The First Amendment limits what Congress can and can't do about religion, but it leaves the door wide open for the Dystopia known as New York to stop the Cordoba Project dead in its tracks. By a strict reading of the First Amendment, you'll notice that the words "state government" or "local government" are curiously absent. That means the state (or more appropriately the city) of New York can act to prevent the mosque from being built two blocks from Ground Zero. This would not violate the First Amendment since they wouldn't be forbidding the building of all mosques, just that one in particular. (For bleeding imbeciles like Ed Schultz, all cities and towns in the US have little things called "zoning laws" that are designed to keep inappropriate buildings away from each other. It's why we don't have nudie bars next to preschools.)

The moral to this story is this: Michael Bloomberg, grow a set. You're the mayor of the largest city in the world. You have a responsibility to apply the law as it's written, not the way you want it to be. Is this Cordoba hubbaloo a test of our Constitution ? ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY! Will you pass the test, Mike ?

God help us all.

Why I Support Prop 8 And No, I'm Not A Bigot

The whole gay marriage thing has reared its ugly head again. Chief US District Judge Vaughn Walker, while nullifying the will of the people of California, struck down Proposition 8 that said marriage was a union between a man and a woman. In his 136 page ruling, Walker wrote that Prop 8 "prevents California from fulfilling its constitutional obligation to provide marriages on an equal basis", and my personal favorite, "Moral disapproval alone is an improper basis on which to deny rights to gay men and lesbians."

*SIGH!* Here we go again. I know that my explanation is going to fall on the deaf ears of the 2+2=5 Progressivevik crowd, but let's give it a try for the millionth, zillionth time. Proposition 8 has nothing to do with hating homosexuals. It has everything to do with preserving religious liberty and not having political views that are alien to American culture shoved down the throats of We The People.

I, like most rational people, couldn't give a crap less about what two consenting adults do in their bedrooms. It's none of my business. However, I resent the Big Mommy Regime telling me "Forget that nonsense you learned in Hebrew school. We know better than God." Last time I checked, The Torah, The New Testament, and The Koran all say that homosexuality is a sin, and marriage is between a man and a woman only. By changing God's rules, the state then becomes bigger than God. Call me crazy and off my meds, but I don't think that's a swell idea, do you ?

Another thing to consider is this: If Proposition 8 and all other laws like it are struck down, rabbis, priests, pastors, and mullahs can be forced to perform gay marriages, regardless of what their religious views are. In theory, they can then be sued for practicing their religion. At that point, religious freedom will be destroyed in America. I don't know about you, but the last thing I want is the Big Mommy Regime telling me how to interpret God's will. That's between me and The Big Conservative Upstairs. We don't need a middle man.

One thing I do support is civil unions that gives the same legal status to gay couples as heterosexual couples. I fully support the idea of gay partners being able to will their belongings to each other, being able to grant each other power of attorney, etc. To deny anyone of those rights is wrong. However, the word marriage has a cultural and religious meaning that the government has no right or authority to screw around with.

For the Progressiveviks who a reading this and for those who can't wait to post this column all over the Internet as an example of "Right Wing Extremist Hate" , I'd like to introduce you to someone who shares the same view as me on this subject:

CHAIRMAN OBAMA, PRETEND THERE'S A FOREIGN MONARCH STANDING IN FRONT OF YOU AND TAKE A BOW!

God help us all.

What Happened To The Party Of No ?

You can relax, Chairman Obama. The Republican Party has ceased being the "Party of No" and has instead become "The Party of Maybe".

Your plan to subvert the Constitution is safe, O Master of Wealth Redistribution. Five "Republicans" jumped ship and voted for your latest disaster of an appointee, the Evil Hobbit known as Elena Kagan, to join the Supreme Court of the United States. Once again, the will of the people is thwarted. Congrats.

That's right, True Believers, Elena Kagan is going to become the 112th Supreme Court Justice. How can that be, you ask ? How can that be when there are 41 Republican Imperial Senators, which is the magic number to filibuster any of Chairman Obama's socialist plots ? That's easy. There were five "Republican" traitors: Richard Lugar of Indiana, Judd Nelson of New Hampshire, Lindsey Grahamnesty of South Carolina, and Maine's Olympia Snowejob and Susan Collins. (Benedict Nelson of Nebraska voted "no" in a transparent attempt to salvage his reputation in Cornhusker country.)

There is ABSOLUTELY no justification for voting "yes" to send Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court. She isn't some harmless centrist, she's a leftist ideologue. Elena Kagan wrote a paper in college that bemoaned the failure of socialism in early 20th century New York, harassed military recruiters during her tenure at Haw-Vard, and has spoken openly about limiting Free Speech. I'd be hard pressed to say any of those actions or views fall in line with the values of the Republican Party. Yet, these five PROGRESSIVEVIK "Republicans" voted for her confirmation anyway. Why ? Why did they go along with the rest of the 2+2=5 Junta that controls the Senate ? Why ?!

I'm sure we'll get the usual mealy-mouthed politician answer like, "We have to be bipartisan, blah, blah, blah", but that doesn't cut it when we're on the edge of a socialist takeover of our country. Crap like this is the reason why the Republican Party has lost thousands upon thousands of supporters, myself included. The Republican Party talks a great game, but when Progressivevik push comes to shove, they abandon their Conservative values and become their usual pantywaist selves. This was a golden opportunity to tell Chairman Obama where he could shove his Hopey-Changey nonsense, but like the Chicago Cubs, the Republican Party screwed the pooch yet again and blew it.

We The People are truly alone in this fight against socialist tyranny......

God help us all.

FUBAR

I have to warn you: I'm angrier than usual at the Big Mommy Regime in Washington DC and the 2+2=5 Progressivevik Junta that runs it.

I may bite.

I've just seen the "Summer Time Blues" report by Imperial Senators Tom Coburn and John McPain (No, I don't care if McPain wants to pretend he's a Conservative. I still wouldn't pee on him if he was on fire.) that outlines the waste that is Chairman Obama's "Stimulus" Scam. I have to tell you, never, ever, in my life have I seen such waste and total disregard for the American tax payer. Let's take a look at some of these atrocities, straight from the report itself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Forest Service to Replace Windows in Visitor Center

Closed in 2007 (Amboy, WA) - $554,763

Despite having no plans to reopen a shuttered visitor center at Mount St. Helens in Washington state,

the U.S. Forest Service is spending more than $554,000 to replace its windows. One government official

likened it to .“keeping a vacant house in good repair,.” while another official noted that there is hope to

find some purpose for the building in the future, whether as a hotel, science camp or restaurant. Despite

those efforts, there are no current plans to use the empty space.

Spending $11.5 million in 1993, the Forest Service opened the Coldwater Ridge Visitor Center to provide

visitors to Mount St. Helens a .“sweeping view of the volcano.” through the center.’s soaring windows. In

2007, however, the Forest Service closed down the visitor center after just 14 years in operation. Former

USDA official, Mark Rey, said at the time regarding Mount St. Helens, .“we have more visitor center

capacity than the public can reasonably use."

Officials are hoping to maintain the facility so that another use can be found, such as a lodge or

educational facility. But the Forest Service has been criticized in the past for poor facilities

management, especially within the Mount St. Helens National Monument, and there is no sign that an

economically viable use for the center is close to being found.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. “Dance Draw.” - Interactive Dance Software Development

(Charlotte, NC) - $762,372

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte received more than $750,000 in stimulus funds to help

develop a computerized choreography program that its creators believe could lead to a YouTube-like

.“Dance Tube.” online application. The grant says UNC-Charlotte will “define an evolving system that

assists in the design and production of interactive dance performances with real-time audience

interaction..”

A device is attached to each dancer, which will be recorded on video, and their movements will be

logged and analyzed. .“This will allow choreographers to explore interactive dance without always

having a full cast of dancers present,.” the grant states. One day, dance performances may enjoy the

popularity of YouTube hits like “double rainbow.” or .“dramatic-look prairie dog..” States the grant:

“The system will be extended into a Web-based .‘Dance Tube.’ application that will allow the public to

engage in interactive dance choreography..”

Administrative expenses are unusually high for this project, however. The project.’s lead researcher noted

that the university is taking a 44 percent cut to cover “overhead expenses."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6. Ants Talk. Taxpayers Listen (San Francisco, CA) - $1.9

million

The California Academy of Sciences is receiving nearly $2 million to

send researchers to the Southwest Indian Ocean Islands and east

Africa, to capture, photograph, and analyze thousands of exotic ants.

The photographs of the ants – over 3,000 species.’ worth, according to

the grant proposal – will be posted on AntWeb, a website devoted to

organizing and displaying pictures and information on the world.’s

thousands of ant species.

The project.’s goals are, to the lay person, both laudable and arcane: In

addition to .“foster[ing].…a large pool of ant taxonomists,.” it also strives

to document .“the vast majority of ant species known from [Africa]..”

.“[Ants] give us back the most data on the environment than any other

group. Their life cycle is shorter, they change very quickly,” says the

project.’s Principal Investigator in a promotional article on the

Academy.’s website. .“Everyone has run into ants . . . now we need to

listen to them..”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We can go on and on.Why is it like this ? Who said "We need to spend $700,000 right away on dance software" ? Who authorized this crap ? Was he or she stoned out of their mind or were they suffering from a serious head injury ? How can this even be remotely justified ? When Joe Bite Me said that there was a 30% chance that the "Stimulus" plan would be FUBAR, he was drastically underestimating the stupidity of his fellow "lawmakers". It's 199.68% FUBAR. Yeah, Yeah, I'm a racist for bringing this up. Got it. You forgot to mention that I hate poor people as well.

Folks, we deserve better than this. No I'm not saying let's all run out and vote Republican. They haven't met a tax payer dollar that they couldn't waste, either. It's obvious that we need more than ever actual Conservatives running the show. I don't care which party they're from, Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Tea Party, Green, whatever. We need people in Washington who are not going to treat the money we slaved away for like Monopoly money. We need politicians who aren't going to treat us like children at best and serfs at worst.

FUBAR is an old Army slang term from World War II that means "f-ed up beyond all recognition." I can't think of a better word to use when describing our federal "government", can you ?

God help us all.

Missed Some!

I would like to take this opportunity to condemn the brainchild of the 9/11 mosque project, Imam Feisel Abdul Rauf.

You sir, are a bigot. How dare you forget the fallen SS solidiers ? Let's build a shrine to them at Yad Vashem in Israel. How can you possibly forget the brave Imperial Japanese kamikaze pilots of World War II ? Let's build a shrine to them at Pearl Harbor. While we're at it, we need to break ground on a memorial for the brave Confederate war dead at Gettysburg and also an exquisite shrine to the Huns in Rome is certainly in order. For your obvious racism, I am reporting you to the NAACP.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obviously, I'm joking, but this whole Cordoba Project fiasco is anything but a laughing matter. How can anyone with a straight face actually propose such a thing ? Why would anyone in their right mind allow the building of a mosque right next to Ground Zero ? Before the Progressiveviks start their tired "We Need To Be Tolerant" argument, I'll go on the record now: Most Muslims do not subscribe to Mohamed Atta's or Al Qaeda's views, especially here in the United States. Most of the Muslims I know are patriotic Americans simply trying to make it in this world. This is not a rant against Muslims or Islam.

This is a rant about creating a tourist site for Islamic psychopaths. Granted, most folks who would go to the Cordoba Center would simply go there to pray. That's fine. But what about those who would visit the center to gloat ? What about those who would make the Cordoba Center a pilgrimage site on the way to Martyrdom ? Do the memories of those who died during the 9/11 mean anything to Michael Bloomberg or the rest of the "We Need To Be Tolerant" crowd ? Shouldn't those memories be protected ?

The World Trade Center is not just hallowed ground in New York, it's hallowed ground for America. New York was not attacked, America was. That being said, our federal government should step in (You have no idea how much writing this sentence pains me.) and declare the site of the World Trade Center and the surrounding area a national park, using eminent domain if they have to. This way nothing will be built in the area. Yes, this goes against my Libertarian ideals, which I hold near and dear. However, I hold being an American a hell of a lot nearer and dearer. Of course the 2+2=5 Progressivevik Junta that passes itself off as Congress will do nothing of the sort since there are no spotted field crickets to protect. So with a heavy heart, and for the millionth time this week, I say--

God help us all.
